As tomorrow is Safe Internet Day what are you guys doing if anything?

We thought we could switch the internet off as it would be safe but thought it wouldn't go down well :)

Safer Internet Day resources galore!

Take a look in the eSafety forum... where I'm about to relocate this thread to.

e.g. http://www.edugeek.net/forums/e-safety/131613-new-esafety-posters-all-age-groups.html

http://www.edugeek.net/forums/e-safety/126608-safer-internet-day-2014-schools-packs-now-available.html

We are getting the pupils to review our "Golden Rules for Internet Use" which sounds dead boring, but it's a series of workshops with each class culminating in a whole school assembly. It looks like being fun :)

I will add in Thurnham Infant School, but not take credit for it. Their planned day is amazing and centres on "Keeping Digiduck Safe online" It will involve the whole school community parents, governors, the local library, teachers, pupils.... Each class will be given a yellow soft toy Digiduck to look after for the year thus making eSafety a constant part of lessons throughout the school.

The whole day is genius and their eSafety coordinator has planned an amazing day.

I heard about this through the Kent eSafety strategy Group. A write-up on the plans from KCC is here

We have an after school training session planned for parents - bit of an informative thing plus some how to's / what to look out for etc.
