harriuk Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 (edited) Hi All, when I setup HAP without changing the homepage links,ie only Resources, Management and Me are shown it works as expected. As soon as I add another group (in Home Access Plus+ Setup > homepage > Links Add Group) it breaks the homepage. I have attached the two pages for comparison. Can anyone suggest how to fix this issue? Thanks in advance Harriuk Edited February 10, 2014 by harriuk email in post
nickbro Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Try moving the English group above the Me tab group, see what happens, apart from that I know there's a few fixes in v10 that fix some things with adding homepage links
harriuk Posted February 10, 2014 Author Posted February 10, 2014 Hi and thanks for the swift reply. Unfortunately this didn't help Thanks Harriuk
fairm010 Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Harriuk, sorry, I cant help with your problem but I was curious to know how you got the "Me" tile running on your HAP install? If you could let me know I'd appreciate it! Matt
harriuk Posted February 10, 2014 Author Posted February 10, 2014 Hi Matt, what exactly do you mean by getting the "Me" tab working? Harriuk
fairm010 Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 In your screenshots, the first tile on the left showing your picture. I'm curious to know how that is there.
harriuk Posted February 10, 2014 Author Posted February 10, 2014 Ok I thought as much. That is my picture thats stored in active directory. HAP must read it from there! Harriuk
harriuk Posted February 10, 2014 Author Posted February 10, 2014 Hi nickbro, is v10 out yet, if so where can I get it?
fairm010 Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 I managed to put that tile in on my homepage by adding to my Resources code.
markwilfan Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Hi Guys Harri is my boss so have been looking at this for him. Looks like the xml is incorrectly created when creating new homepage groups. For example creating a new group called "Maths" results in this being slipped into the hapconfig.xml When it should be Remember to add a link otherwise it borks too @nickbro - Just for heads up but presume you may have fixed this is v10 - Good work though sir 1
harriuk Posted February 11, 2014 Author Posted February 11, 2014 Excellent Work Mark. I would treat you to a corporate lunch for that but we work in the public sector so no chance of that! How about a thanked post and 10 minutes off the support desk . I agree with Mark though @nickbro this is an excellent product! Well done!
nickbro Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Thanks. Yep, you need a link in the group for it to work properly
markwilfan Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Thanks. Yep, you need a link in the group for it to work properly Hey @nickbro Just to confirm not having a link in the group wasn't the actual problem we were having. It was the xml tag not being closed properly by the code. Cheers
nickbro Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 The tag was closed properly, /> is a self closed tag. v10 has some fixes for the homepage where adding links was actually throwing an error message

Still doesn't work with that method though but happy to manually fix when we add a group
