Serial boards with driver 5.9

Hello, all..

 

Our school has a mix of boards which are roughly 8 years old connected via COM and assorted USB ones.

I know how to install the driver via command line to force it to use serial, but it only works on a handful of the boards.

It's definitely the board. If I have the same driver installed on a laptop, and connect it to the board in room1, it works. Move to room2, it doesn't.

 

Is there a minimum firmware version on the boards that the drivers look for?
