uktonyn Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 We have a 2008 R2 server that has lost network connectivity. The network adaptors are showing but the network connections wil not come up. If you interogate the interfaces using ipconfig, they system does not display any interfaces. The event log shows cable in and outs, and the Broadcom Manager shows the layer 2 working, and the cable tests fine. I have rest Winsock but the system will not see the interfaces to make a network connection. All the hardware tests I have run show no errors. We have installed a 2nd card, exactly the same issue. Any thoughts Tony N
featured_spectre Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 This will sound so silly (but has happened to me) are the IPs set on the adaptors? I ask because if they had a static then went to DHCP it can cause issues.
andyturpie Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 We had this before, it was down to a flaky NIC driver, as soon as you uninstalled and re-installed the driver it kicked back into action. (All virtual machines now phew!)
uktonyn Posted February 7, 2014 Author Posted February 7, 2014 Have installed latest drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled drivers - still no joy.
