lionsl2005 Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Hi All, Is anyone successfully in stalled and get it working SIMS discover in Citrix VDI environment with Thin client machines?? if yes how did you do your setup? Thank you lionsl2005
PotNoodleTech Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Discover is resource intensive in terms of graphics and CPU power. It is not really suited to RDP/VDI - though there's no reason why you couldn't try it, especially if you only have one or two poeple using it?
dsk Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Its one of the reasons that we scrapped thin clients, too many resource hungry apps out there and to be honest the price of a fat client vs thin + backend is very similar if not better value with a fat client base. 1

Yep completely agree with you - phasing out my last 100 TC's here too.
woody Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Hi, we do it and it works quite well although it is not heavily used by all staff. Just install onto your image as you would on any client. Each of our desktops have 2 vCPUs 2 GB RAM We have compression set so that it works fluid enough but does not compromise on streaming the pixels too much.
