Had a call today from a guy who's first language was not English offering me and the school FREE software just by registering a valid email address.

 

I am always suspicious when its free. Anybody else had the same call and signed up?

Yeah i had them ring up too, i listened to what he had to say, didn't trust them and just signed up myself without using him on the phone, took a couple of days to be verified but now we've got a 3 year license for Autodesk, Maya etc etc

What do you think of the software, is this worth having and should I contact our DT department to inform them?

Haven't used it yet, my advice is download it, have a play, watch some youtube videos about it before you offer it out, because you'll only end up supporting it!
