Unable to RDP to Server 2012

Hi,

 

One of our servers has decided that it no longer wants to allow RDP connections to and from it. We have checked to make sure that RDP is enabled and have disabled the domain firewall whilst we try to figure it out.

 

We are able to access all shared volumes on the server, it also responds to ping.

 

When doing a netstat -a , the Local Address and Foreign Address fields are blank.

 

Does anyone have any ideas to try?

Does it refuse connections, or allow connection and then go to blank screen? Do you get anything logged in event log when trying to RDP to it?

Refuses all connections in and out. Will check Event Viewer now.

Do you have the NLA (network level authentication) box checked where you enable RDP?

 

I've had problems with having NLA enabled when using linux based systems - however I'm not entirely sure if this would cause any issues with the windows RDP client.
