Bloatware - any of it useful?

Got a Lenovo out of the box with preinstalled OS.

 

It's got a heap of 'bloatware' onboard. Any opinions please on the usefulness of any of it.

Power management is the only one I kept on my lenovo.

I would do a clean install of Windows and just install the power management software (along with the latest drivers).

What Arthur said a lot of rubbish comes on computers. Unless you really need the bloat ware due to driver compatibility I always remove it. Bloat ware does slow your computer so much it's ridiculous, the way they give you trials as well is all a pile of rubbish.

 

From the list of programmes there I would say remove it all!

I generally go through the "Make a Recovery Disk" option to restore to factory if things go wrong, then wipe it all and stick a stock OS on it these days, one of our SMT bought a PC in PCWorld last year and brought it in for me to de-crapify for them, it was chock full of crap and spammy ad stuff like Norton :/

Lenovo has a useful utility that remembers the proxy details for each wireless connection - brilliant for staff using laptops at home and at school. I think it's the communications utility.
