Hi folks.

Today I installed a kvm console into our rack and connected all the servers up.

The windows servers work beautifully. The linux ones however all look like this:

(sorry about the quality)

(The distortion constantly changes)

It's running Scientific Linux 6.3.

KVM is: Lindy 19" Modular KVM Terminal no: 21615 with KVM Switch - U16C Modular no: 39531

Video is connected via VGA, keyboard/touchpad via USB.

I can't reboot the machines as they are in use 24/7 so if they require a reboot I'll have to arrange for downtime.

Any ideas?

If I unplug and reconnect the KVM it's clear for about 2-3 seconds then becomes distorted again.

Any ideas? I'm at a loss.

What's the resolution like on the linux boxes.

Does look like it's a graphics problem. Refresh rate sat too high or its out of range.

Windows will adjust automatically when a different monitor is plugged in.
