bristop Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Some of our teachers want to set an ICT task for pupils (9 – 11 year old range) to create a Wiki. This would be for internal access only. Our learning platform (DB Primary) doesn’t do this well. Has anyone deployed an open source application to provide this type of facility for a class to use? We’re running Windows Server 2008 R2.

FN-GM Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 dokuwiki is really good. If i remember correctly you don't need to setup a database, its stored in files. The other one is MediaWiki, the one that runs Wikipedia. This has loads of development work going on and its very unlikely development work will stop.
