faza Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 In group policy is there a way where, when you open explorer you can disable the up button from showing.
originofsymmetry Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Not through group policy, the settings for Internet Explorers toolbar do not affect WIndows Explorer (as in the buttons shown) so you would have to make a mandatory profile for your users with that option removed, you could also use the "Disable toolbar customizations" and "Disable toolbar buttons customization" setting to prevent it being added by the user
originofsymmetry Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 Sorry worded that badly, there is no other real way to achieve this with group policy, so you'll have to set up mandatory profiles for users, with this button removed. Then from the Internet Explorer group policy, enable the policies to remove toolbar customizations and toolbar button customizations, this will prevent the user bringing back the button in Windows Explorer. Hope thats clear
