Hi, just wondering if anyone has successfully got sims working on Microsoft Remote App Publishing ? I've published several apps that work really well but Sima just fails to launch. just wondered if anyone had had a similar issue. running Server 2012 on the remote side

I have it running on Server 2008.

Its not hammered but it works fine inside and outside school. Think the only thing I had to change was the connect.ini to point to the UNC of the server and not use the redirect command.

Oh and Solus 3 always messed mine up so I have to manually update each time which is fine if the ISO is available when Solus 3 deploys... if not then its a database error. I reboot each weekend to remove the profiles too as they clog the server up.

As I embarrassingly learnt to my detrimant when doing a whole school training session - make sure SIMSLoad.exe is not being run! Change any shortcuts to load Pulsar.exe only.

We run RemoteApps on Server 2012 and published Pulsar.exe directly, rather than using SIMSLoad.exe as @tmcd35 suggests. Nothing else needed to be changed, SOLUS 3 updates it without issue as well.

And wouldn't you beleive it, the pulsar.exe fixed it... Many thanks

I am attempting to publish SIMS as a Remoteapp. I have a 2012 R2 setup.

When I try to install SIMS workstation on my server it gets stuck on "Installing legacy compatibility files....". Windows Installer gives me "not responding".

Have I missed something?
