SMART Notebook 11.4 - Splash Screen stalls

Weird issue came up with some of my teachers this week. The Smart Notebook 11's splash screen stalls/locks up for no reason. Ending the task doesn't make the program go away either. Only a hard reboot seems like the only answer. The windows log files don't really help either so I was wondering if anyone else had issues with Version 11.4 ...... I've done a little troubleshooting and some research and came up with nothing. I'm convinced it's an update relating to smart or flash(?) because a complete reimage helps but the next day, Notebook gets flakey. So far Uninstall/reinstall doesn't help.

Win7 x64, 4 gig ram

I don't know about the latest version but I do know that the smart software is always riddled with bugs and problems. I always stay on old trusted versions now due to the number of times I've been stiched up by this software. It's not like the new versions offer anything groundbreakingly new.
