Chris_Jones Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Just fired up this standby Spare PC, it reported the time/date were out of sync. Well its only 1 Hour 10 Minutes, 7 Days, 4 Months and 4607 Years out! Think Microsoft will still cover it under extended support?
carnforthhigh Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Classic, some of our pcs when the bios battery goes have reported the year as 9999
Michael Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Classic, some of our pcs when the bios battery goes have reported the year as 9999 That's weird, as you'd expect the oldest date to be when the motherboard was manufactured, such as 1995 for example. It can't possibly go back in time, so it's baffling why the year wouldn't start with a 1 or 2 at the very least!
computer_expert Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Think Microsoft will still cover it under extended support? You may be in with a chance of antiirus defenition updates though
Gatt Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 You may be in with a chance of antiirus defenition updates though Why is your Aunty Iris needing definition updates?
XiJ Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Don't laugh - the way we're going the same will happen to pensioners on the NHS. 'Sorry you're out of support now'. Best we can do is some paracetamol!!
computer_expert Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Why is your Aunty Iris needing definition updates? Whoops! That is what you get when you rush posts
