creese Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 If you stay still in a blue car, it will still see you BBC News - Kruger National Park elephant attack: Footage shows car being flipped over What not to do on an Elephant Crossing.
LosOjos Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 "Unfortunately we had to put down the elephant because we did not understand the behaviour," said Mr Mabasa. They then discovered that the male elephant had been "on musth", a periodic condition where testosterone levels rise and elephants become more aggressive. So the elephant was in the middle of a known period of increased aggression, being stalked by a car that stopped dead when faced (could be seen as confrontation from the animal), so was rolled resulting in a minor injury to a passenger - so the elephant was killed?!
localzuk Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Typical behaviour of humans to be honest - kill anything we don't immediately understand.
creese Posted January 14, 2014 Author Posted January 14, 2014 I think the elephant might have been a threat to the teacher. I mean her job, as it obviously had more sense than she did.
