Format a 64GB USB stick in FAT32

Just wondered if this is possible.

 

After finding out that we can transfer tv programs from the tv recorder to a memory stick the head bought a 64gb one.

 

However it for the tv recorder only accepts FAT32 devices

 

Is it possible to format the usb stick to FAT32 as in windows 7 right click format i get NTFS or exFAT

 

Using dos Format E:/FS:FAT32 Took most of the day to run then came back saying something along the lines of the disk is to large.

There's an upper limit of 32GB for FAT32 so the option won't be available.

 

You need a smaller USB.

You can use the disk manager features within any Linux distro to format large drives as FAT32. I have a 320Gb USB drive that I did it with. Get one of the Live disks and do it with that
