Hi guys,

The IT coordinator at one of my schools got some viruses on her computer and they have come from a pen drive, but not hers.

I am running Sophos Enterprise Console 5.2 on the server and Endpoint version 10 on the clients. Is there a way to set Sophos to scan removable USB devices?

I'm currently thinking that disabling autorun may be a good idea at the moment also.

Ideas welcome! ;)

Just an update, which might help others in this situation...

Changed the following group policies:

Computer Configuration | Policies | Administrative Templates | Windows Components | AutoPlay Policies

Turn off Autopay - enabled, turn off autoplay on: all drives

Default behavior for AutoRun - enabled, do not execute any autorun commands.

I've set this for years for this exact reason. There are many viruses which exploit the autorun/autoplay function. Disabling it stops even infected memory sticks from spreading it across the network.
