In/Out Board for Students

We are looking at giving our sixth form students more flexibility in their attendance but we still want to know who is on site or has been on site. This would be in the case of a fire but also for general attendance knowledge.

 

I have been looking at electronic in/out systems or clocking systems but they are either geared up for industry or don't quite fit my needs or are very expensive.

 

How do you do flexible attendance and still know who is on site at very short notice?
