wingmanatl Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 We have users who are unable to launch SIMS Documentation from their SIMS home page. When they click to launch, an error message appears in the lower left stating, 'File not found' We use a farm setup through a RD Gateway Server. Is the connect.ini file incorrect in pointing to the DocStorage? Thanks in advance
vikpaw Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 On the latest releases Documention is online. At best you have one file that is local and then all links go online, so this could be struggling to connect. However, you can still download the docs to have offline if you want from SupportNet. Check there as i think there is a help guide on the new process, or at least some explanation as to how to deal with it. My connect.ini has no entry for documentation at all. clicking the homepage documentation link loads doccentre.pdf which is in my S:\sims\documentation folder which then links to online. i think that's how it works. 2
Mark_Atkins1 Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 @vikpaw is right, the entry in the sims.ini used for this is the SIMSDIRECTORY which specifies the shared SIMS folders (typically S:\SIMS) where the Documentation folder is located holding the doccentre.pdf and any other documentation. Make sure you can get to this folder and the Documentation Centre from the Home Page should also work. Hope this helps. 1
