hi guys im new to this thought id make a topic :) hope u all join in. rite so are the any tips on how to make a gd video using windows movie maker???

 

p.s the watercolour effect is useless dnt use it/ or the old timeline options ether

yeh... don't use Windows Movie Maker. It doesn't import in dv quality so you're always left with rubbish quality IIRC try WinDV (Free) http://windv.mourek.cz/ or buy something decent like Sony Vegas or TMPEnc DVD Author...

 

...done a little digging and apparantly the newest versions of MM are better - the main thing is to make sure you use firewire to import not usb and ideally use a scratch disk to capture to and reformat it when done...

Educational price for Premiere Elements is around £30. Go to the Adobe site and look on the Education pages. It produces a cracking dvd and the menu making facility is quite good.

 

I'm not sure about the previous poster saying Movie Maker doesn't import DV quality. It captures and exports avi.
