Afternoon.

Does anyone know of a way to disable the automatic Java update that appears upon login via GPO?

The Java update appears no matter what version of Java is running. Even those who have the latest version still get the pop up appear.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Never mind.

I've resolved this by forcing out a regedit.

If anyone else needs instructions on how to do this in future, please let me know.

Thanks

The reg key for running the updater on start up is here

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]

"SunJavaUpdateSched"="\"C:\\Program Files\\Common Files\\Java\\Java Update\\jusched.exe\"

Create a GPO /reg delete to delete this key, then it can't run
