TechSupp Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 Been asked to look at creating an android/iphone app for the school, details, contacts, with facility to push notifications to it for school closues etc We could get one written for us but are there any free resources/websites that could help me do it myself. Just looked at 'conduit' which says free but only for 5 users.

j_the_geek Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 We've got 2 iPhone apps and a Windows Phone app (made by me ). The WP app is native, but the iPhone apps were built using Titanium which was good to start off with as the developer (a good friend) is more familiar with coding for the web, but it's proven to be tricky to keep up to date with the OS and some features just don't work the same as native code. When there's an OS update, Titanium has to update too so the code can be translated ... this can take a while
