gmj Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 Oh....my....God. Have a friend is currently working in Oz and they found this (and it's babies) in the boot of the car *shudders*. I suffer VERY badly from arachnophobia. Hell....I'd just buy a new car.
jinnantonnixx Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 (edited) Australia. Koalas aside, everything wants to kill you. If you have a moment, search Youtube for buff kangaroo. You'll thank me for it. Edited December 13, 2013 by jinnantonnixx
bladedanny Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 Australia. Koalas aside, everything wants to kill you. I bet even a koala would given half a chance.
ICTDirect_Dave Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 That's not going to fit under a glass now is it?
tech_guy Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 Koalas can be nasty - I had one hump my leg when I was over there. I think it thought I was a tree (I was young and skinny then).
6Foot2 Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 I bet even a koala would given half a chance. Koalas can be made to look less friendly than they usually appear: http://i.snag.gy/7ffVQ.jpg
captaincharisma Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 I can barely look at the picture. I survived New Zealand for a year....no spiders there though. 1
kearton Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 I survived New Zealand for a year....no spiders there though. Incorrect. We have the Katipo, but I've NEVER EVER seen one. And I was always told you'd need to be VERY young, old, or already sick for their bites to be fatal... :/

unixman_again Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 As an ex-pat Aussie, allow me to comment. nephilim photos : The wild boar is a picture from Alabama. The large spider pix are very bad fakes as is the frog and the snake in the toilet, but I guess that you knew that. Yes there are things in the garden that will kill you, like the red back spider, the funnel web spider, various snakes but if you leave them alone, they will leave you alone. Yes there are things in the sea which will kill you, such as the blue ringed octopus or the white pointer but you either leave them alone or get out of the water when the spotter says so. Yes there are things in the north that will kill you, such as the salt water crocodile, but if there is a sign that says "no swimming", you stay out of the water. It usually tourists who get eaten, ignoring the signs. On the other hand, the sun always shines, there are miles and miles off beaches, they are great swags of desert if you fancy being alone and some the best walking country on the planet. There is more skiable snow than in Austria and a really relaxed way of life. Here is a road warning sign from my home town : http://joelynalexandra.files.wordpress.com/2012/12/adelaide085.jpg?w=538
