Ranger remote control 10.5

Hi there,

 

I was wondering if anyone could help me. I'm a network technician at a school who are using Ranger 10.5 for classroom management. it has come to my attention lately that the students are "spamming" the teacher with chat messages, I have disabled the toolbar that is installed with the client but I don't know how to remove the star icon in the system tray, which is what they are now using the send the chat now the toolbar is gone.

 

I was looking at this thread http://www.edugeek.net/forums/network-classroom-management/13206-ranger-remote-control-disable-help-requests.html but it is very old and I'm not sure if this applies.

 

we have no support with the software anymore as its donkeys old but it still works for what we need, so we don't want/need to upgrade.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
