Is anyone using M247 for internet services if so what are they like.

There is 6 schools in Trafford using a Leased line from them, and have done for 3 years.

 

I know one has a website with them too.

 

Which bit of the Internet Services are you looking at?

Would be leased line, filtering, firewall, AV, remote access

Leased line has been very good for us, had it for 3 years now and have 2 hours downtime.

 

Filtering, they now use Netsweeper but we don't buy it.

Firewall, it provided by Sonicwall, heard it is good from another school but again we don't buy it.

Remote Access, I have no idea what you would be doing here, and I don't know what they would do.

 

 

We basically have a leased line with our own Smoothwall on site, our own remote access setup etc, so they are very much just a internet pipe for us but I would highly recommend them. Been around there data centre in Manchester though, and the setup is pretty good.

 

I would be inclined to get pricing from 3rd party suppliers for all aspects of your needs both together, and seperately so you can control your choice better and your costs, you can also play they off against each other.
