Start menu to appear again

Maybe there is hope at last.. just tead here the start menu may make its way back to our desktops.. in 8.2 Shocker: Start menu may make a comeback in next version of Windows | TechRadar

Just as I'm starting to get to grips with 8.1 to start potential roll out DOH!

 

Possibility of running the "metro" apps side by side in desktop mode would be quite beneficial come to think of it.

 

Got used to not having the start menu any more, and just have lots of shortcuts pinned to the task bar, but from a staff / student point of view I suppose if the start menu were available it would make any transition slightly smoother.
