Old news, but again, anyone that did it deserved to brick their xbox. MS said the games will never be backwards compatible with the disks...same as Sony with the PS4

oh those 4chan anons and femanons they do know how to get the stupid people to take the bait hook line and sinker.

i heard pupils talking about this today and told them it wont work and then showed them the MS statement about backwards compatablity and hopefully they have listened to the words of wisdom

The fact that people even want to get to that section on the xbox should void warranties, and also they should patch this as a security flaw.

I'd tweak that slightly - definitely patch it as a security flaw but I wouldn't go so far as to void warranties, at least not until measures have been put in place to stop you accessing it. It does seem to be an oversight on MS' part to leave such a dangerous (in the wrong hands) tool open for all to [ab]use
