Problems with OST Offline files on RM CC4

Hi Guys

 

I don't know if anyone can help with a problem that we are having regarding OST Files on CC4.

Basically we want to disable the offline files because they are taking up to much space on users area on CC4.

 

I have followed the tech document on rm website TEC1671485 , which does not seem to of fixed the problem. Yes the use cached exchange mode is unticked and grayed out, but the OST files are still populating and getting bigger.

 

We have manually disabled it by going to the advanced tab on account settings, outlook data file settings, and disable offline use which does disdable the OST files.

However if we have to reset the users profile for what ever reason, it automatically enables it again, and we are back to square one.

 

We are using microsoft exchange, server 2008 r2 standard

Have a look at this, not tested it myself but try on a workstation. If it does work you can add the .reg file to the custom settings in Internet and email settings policy.
