Springbok Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Hi I was wondering if anyone has come across this scenario before - and if so how they've overcome it? I'd like to restrict access to a whole computer room for any student login during Lunch time. Is this possible, and if so - how would you go about this? This of course is using the lovely RM CC4... Many thanks
Michael Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 How about just locking the door? A lot more simple
nickbro Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Use RM Tutor to Lock or Blank the PCs, stops the mouse from working. You can use AD to put time restrictions in place, but it's not location specific
Springbok Posted December 4, 2013 Author Posted December 4, 2013 How about just locking the door? A lot more simple Definitely more simple - however one that the Teachers have decided should be an IT task - and I for one will not be sending any of my Technicians to lock \ unlock a door! ;-)
Michael Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 The problem with AD time restrictions, is if you're already logged in, it doesn't work. It'll only stop new logins. The only other possible solution is to look at Userlock, or something along these lines.
FN-GM Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 How about just locking the door? A lot more simple Funny you should say that, we have an IT room that is open plan. It doesn't have a wall to hang a door from!
