Sam_Brown Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Just a quick one, Can anyone explain how easy it is to rename computers that are running the SCCM client. Usually I'd just go to System Properties and change it in there but I'm wondering if changing the computer name will screw up the relationship between the computer and SCCM and what the best practice is for renaming computers that was running the SCCM client. Hope someone knows!
FN-GM Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 As long as you have the heartbeat discovery running it will update the name in SCCM and all will just work. We have just renamed 300 clients and it worked a treat. 1
