Windows 8 Device setting up with O365 account. How you done it?

We have a trial running with 7/8 staff with the Acer Iconia W510 devices and the initial thoughts are positive.

Now the issue is what's the ideal way of getting a user setup on a Windows 8 device?

I'm finding that the O365 user account won't let new users setup the device with the domain verified account. One way around it has been to create a miscrosoft passport account in with the same username as the o365 one and then it allows the user can sign into the device and use as intended.

My question is is there a better way to create the users so that once receiving their new device they can simply just sign in with an issued O365 account and get up and running. As we all know the staff need very little opportunity to complain that its too hard to setup etc.....

Any thoughts/advice is welcomed.

Thanks

Just noticed the same thing on my work laptop today, couldn't access the Store without a Microsoft account :(

Also get the same with the OneNote app, won't let you login with a 365 account until you create a consumer-grade account to go with it... bizarre logic really
