Powershell and WMIC

Having a bit of a problem with Powershell and WMIC commands that is proving difficult to find an answer for. I am trying to invoke WMIC commands to do stuff remotely, however I keep getting the error message "Provider is not capable of the attempted operation". The is regardless of what users or privileges I state in the command, has anybody got a resolution for this?

Can you show me an example of a WMIC command which you are attempting to execute on the remove machines? (one which returns this error)

Instead of running WMIC remotely via PowerShell, why not use the Get-WMiObject or Get-CimInstance cmdlets?

 

As already mentioned, can you post an example?
