Lexia Alternatives

HI Everyone,

 

We have just had a quote for the new Lexia Reading v10 software and the price was quite scary to be honest, can anybody recommend an alternative

to Lexia to aid with SEN children that have reading difficulties.

 

We do also have Dyslexia Screener but that does not offer the reports and detailed analysis that Lexia does, if we end up having to purchase it then so be it but it would be nice to explore all avenues first.

Check out http://www.lucid-research.com/sales/esales.htm?category_id=31 Im not sure what features they have but I have seen the Rapid software being used for Dyslexia. Lexia is very popular in the schools I manage but like you said it is expensive it seems they have the monopoly.
