linkazoid Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Hi, We seem to be having an issue with Foxit and opening files. It will just crash the computer and you're unable to kill any processes and you have to forcefully power off the computer. I tried to redeploy the latest MSI of the Enterprise version, but it looks as thought the regular installer was used on the base image and this needs to be removed before the MSI will deploy. What is my best/easiest way of uninstalling this and allowing the msi to deploy from GP? Thanks, Michael
3s-gtech Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Erk. We hit this one. We had to do a large number manually, but we did use this too: msiexec /x \\server\Foxit\FoxitReader431_enu.msi /qn msiexec /x \\server\Foxit\FoxitReader331_enu.msi /qn msiexec /x \\server\Foxit\FoxitReader5140104_enu.msi /qn Obviously with the relevant versions we had (you'll need the old installers). This worked on a good number, even where the .exe installer was used. It was a big job in all, but now we're on the deployed Enterprise version with GP support, much easier to handle. 1
linkazoid Posted November 27, 2013 Author Posted November 27, 2013 Thankfully "C:\Program Files (x86)\Foxit Software\Foxit Reader\unins000.exe /verysilent" seems to uninstall it ok and the MSI installer does not create this file again! 1
3s-gtech Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Ooh I never found that one when I was going through. I'll add it to my script!
