Senior ICT Technician

 

Single Status Grade 6 (£17820 - £18,923) 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

 

Willingdon Community School require an experienced ICT Technician to provide technical support for all Windows computers and associated ICT equipment, including server operating systems, throughout the school and to ensure the equipment is maintained to a high standard to support student learning.

The willingness and ability to be a pro-active, enthusiastic team player, keen to develop their skills is essential to this role.

That's the salary for a SENIOR technician?

 

No, according to ESCC a Senior ICT technician is level 4 and grade 7/8.

However that doesn't matter because the pay is matched to the Job description and not the title.

The job description matches that of a technician and the pay matches that.

 

It's like calling me a "supreme commander of everthing electrical" - sounds cool, but I still only get the pay of a level 5 technician.

That for clearing this up for me, I did wonder why it said Senior technician but the JD wasn't of a senior level. And Supreme commander of everything electrical sounds awesome haha

Actually, in this case the salary comment got an explanatory answer that was useful :)
