Very odd, is your server domain joined? is there any difference in the devices that it can license and those it can't?

 

Domain'ed.

 

Library computers it will see 1 but not the rest.

 

Most of the computers are built the same.

In trying to get the count up, I tested converting MAK to KMS

so I did a little batch file which is basically just slmgr.vbs -ipk key then slmgr.vks -ato

However the machines go insta Non Genuine and I get the black screen (wallpaper removed) and windows is not genuine notification in the corner

should this happen ?

I can fix it with rearm, but I'm a bit cautious on trying this in the wild.

if you add the computers in the VMAT windows.

 

Right click > Update licence (This will read the computers licence. (Windows and office 2010,2013)

Right click > Install licence Key (it will show the list of keys and the best one to chose, (I select automactily use keys))

Right click > Activate > Volume Activate (this is the one I used)

 

 

I may have got this wrong... But that's what I did to get my computers working with VMAT

Tried that too,

Install Product Key - Install a KMS Client Key

Activate - KMS Activate

 

Then the machine reports none genuine, genuine status in VAMT reports none genuine.

 

I can then only fix it with a rearm
