6Foot2 Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Voted this morning. Just under two days left. http://i.snag.gy/3obA1.jpg Votes: http://i.snag.gy/wgTUc.jpg
elsiegee40 Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 I don't get the voting. Yesterday, La Paz dropped behind apparently stripped of votes. Bristol surged ahead with way more votes for the day than has been usual. Overnight, La Paz has had a surge in votes and isn't far behind again. Anyway, I am pleased that Bristol is still ahead, we have voted and am still encouraging everyone else to vote! http://www.pinkglovedance.eu/videos/2013-video-contest/bristol-breast-care-centre/
Devontechie Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 La Paz seem to be catching up very quick! 1

creese Posted November 7, 2013 Author Posted November 7, 2013 La Paz are 12,000 plus in front now. I understand this is being investigated, so please keep voting. Hopefully they will be disqualified and the next group down from us will get the 4,000 euro prize.

creese Posted November 7, 2013 Author Posted November 7, 2013 @creese sounds very odd! There is a suggestion it's gone viral. But I've not seen anything to indicate that.
elsiegee40 Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 La Paz has put on 30000 plus votes today.... huh?!
creese Posted November 7, 2013 Author Posted November 7, 2013 (edited) La Paz has put on 30000 plus votes today.... huh?! There is some chat on Twitter about voting discrepancies. I'm not into Twitter or Spanish, so none the wiser. They have added as many votes today as they got through most of the contest. Edited November 7, 2013 by creese
Devontechie Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Woo.. they have really jumped ahead today!
elsiegee40 Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Looks like a no hoper. Another 10000 votes for La Paz in the last hour or so
Devontechie Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 (edited) They have almost double the Bristol votes now! Edited November 7, 2013 by Devontechie
elsiegee40 Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 I have voted this morning, but they have decided not to display how many votes each contestant has any more. Keep voting folks! http://www.pinkglovedance.eu/videos/2013-video-contest/bristol-breast-care-centre/
witch Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Voted three times again this morning - not sure this is making any difference though - seems very random

creese Posted November 11, 2013 Author Posted November 11, 2013 The latest is that the winners will be announced at the end of this week. Why so long when they say they stand by the votes recieved. A lot of bad feeling in Bristol, regardless of our placing, about the sudden unannounced hiding of votes and the suggestions of improper voting which was then denied by Medline. Thanks to all those who voted I'm sure we will get 2nd place and we all did it for a good cause. Next time I'll arrange fundraising rather than give Medline publicity. 3
elsiegee40 Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 I suspect that they do not have the technology to prove improper voting in the same way as they did not have the technology to prevent improper voting. I suspect that they will think hard before launching a competition with an online vote again.

It's about their 2nd or 3rd year in the US. I certainly don't think they had any idea what they were getting into.
