Fontayne56 Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Hello Please can you help. A teacher has entered the unlock code into a projector unsuccessfully. Now we have a screen with a request code 49100 and a message saying see your documentation. But we have no documentation for this projector !! please help !! also how do I go about getting the correct unlock code. Many Thanks Ryan
kmount Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Have a look at Drivers and Downloads - Lamp - ELPLP50 - EB-84/85/825/826/824 - Epson You'll need to contact Epson if you don't have the user guide.
aleach2 Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 I have several of the same projectors and if memory serves me right, if you remove the power from the projector (physically remove the IEC lead for several minutes e.g. 10) then when you turn it on it should ask you again for the code. The default Epson code should be 1793. Hope this helps, Adam. 1

Thank you thank you thank you You are more than welcome. Glad it helped. We have had teachers putting all sorts of code in, even after we have told them the correct code to put in. Adds to the enjoyment of my job. Adam.
jmak Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Regular occurrence in our school. We have had a few Epson EB projectors turn up with 0000 as the passcode as well as the standard 1793 mentioned above.
simpsonj Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Anyone had an issue with an Epson projector that simply won't accept any input from a remote control? Our Epson is asking for a password, which I know, but I can on;y turn the projector on or off with the remote, not enter the code! I've tried with a different epson remote with no dice either...
jmak Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 How many different types of remote have you tried? I have four different types of Epson remote on my desk and some will turn on some projectors but not allow you to put in the code. Trial and error is the only way I've found...
simpsonj Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 To answer my own question, it really helps if you read the manual. You have to hold down the Num button whilst inputting the code, seems obvious now but it wasn't at the time!
garethEds Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Despite this post being old - Got to love Edugeek - this post just saved two departments and my budget. Thank you. 1
