kennysarmy Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 I'm looking at some costings for our next 1-5 year plan. We have a 4300N and 4200N that have been for the most part reliable, but are now starting to show there age speed wise. I would be looking at replacing with network mono printers. I would welcome any recommendations. Many thanks.
Griff Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Morning Kennysarmy we use Kyocera throughout the school here the mono ones we use are the FS-1370DN's nice small reliable network printer have about 5 dotted across the site 1
bossman Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 @kennysarmy: HP2055dn are very nice and quick, they work very well and are relatively cheap to purchase and maintain. We have a number of them here and they just work faultlessly. 1
DSapseid Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 +1 for the HP 2055 i have a dozen of them here and there great. 1
kennysarmy Posted October 23, 2013 Author Posted October 23, 2013 Great, thanks for taking the time to reply
Chris_Cook Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 We have some hp 4250's, probably a little bit younger than yours, maybe 9 years old. I will be looking at servicing them soon. They are rock solid. One has had two fusers explode in it (user error both times) and still runs fine. A bit of a clean and some new pickup rollers, and I'm sure they will do us a few more years. I'm less impressed with the newer hp printers. They just don't seem to be the same quality. We have two kyocera printers in DT, and they don't seem to give us any problem. I will probably look towards some other makes in future. Maybe ricoh. But then again, I just found a few old printers in a cupboard that still work, so it will be a while before I buy more.
