RIS Image trouble

Im trying to create an image from an SP2 CD to my RIS server. Everything works fine until the file copy stage when installing a client when it starts complaining that Inf files are missing. I ahve tried an install straight from the CD and it doesnt complain at all any ideas?

Where does your SP2 CD come from? Did you create it yourself? If so, using whose instructions.

 

I have also had a similar problem very infrequently at maybe two sites. The problem went away after a little while and I put it down to network congestion.

 

Try uploading a bog standard XP CD and building a client from it.

I have 2000 images working fine. I had this problem previously so shelled out for a copied disk from County only to find the same problem. Im going to try getting the source from a different drive on another machine next but I suspect its something to do with the server or RIS.

Seems to have worked this time . I know for sure now that the CD rom in the server is a bit shoddy. I did try the other copy in another machine as well but that was obviously a dud disc. Just my luck really :?

@ChrisH: You want the proper discs (speak to Ramesys) - those ones from Westfield are crap!

I know they are. Whats even more annoying is when you want something the person only works mornings!!!!!
