Well, the Xbox I won on ebay should arrive today/tomorrow, and I think it'll need a HD and perhaps a little TLC before I get it up and running.

It's an Xmas pressie for the kids, but I'm going to use it for Netflix and media streaming from my home NAS.

I'll look into subscription accounts as and when the need arises, but as my kids are both below 10 I don't think Halo is an option!

Fairly sure this has been discontinued now, I've been on it since release and I got an email saying that my current year would be honored, but after that it's 1 year memberships for each user, not a family pack

Cheers neph, it expires on the 11th Nov so I've cancelled the auto-renew, will buy that anyway and activate it as soon as my current one expires. A lot cheaper to buy it on Amazon than buy it on XBOX it seems!
