HP Proliant Microserver Gen 8 G1610t

I'm thinking of buying a HP Proliant Microserver Gen 8 G1610t and stuffing it full of 16GB RAM and SSDs to use as a home media server. Good idea? Has anyone on here got one of these?

Same, also have two N54Ls at home one as a file server other as a web/dev server. Does the G8 officially support 16GB RAM or do you need to flash the BIOS like you do with the previous version? It would be nice if newver versions had a better Hardware RAID support - only supports RAID 0, 1 and 5 AFAIK. I currently have the 320GB disk included as a boot disk with 3x 2TB disks in Windows Server 2008 RAID5. Edited October 15, 2013 by tb2571989

I have an N54L at home and its rock solid...got an SSD as an OS drive and 4x 1TBs in the front bays and i've had no issues at all (apart from a hard drive going down) but its Raid5 so no problem just replaceing

I was looking at the Gen8 are they doing any good offers anywhere? i got £100 cash back on my current micro so it only really cost 89quid
