Damned - the game

Another alpha game that looks quite interesting (and is multiplayer...for @Sunnyknight)

 

The damned is a 5 person multiplayer game set in a variety of abandoned buildings/environments (hotel/hospital, etc). 4 of you play as survivors, trapped in the building and hunting for a way out. The fifth person plays as the monster whose only goal is to kill the survivors.

The monster, when in one form, cannot see or be seen by the survivors, but can interact with nearby objects, so if you hear sounds and see things move as a survivor, it's near. In the monsters other form he is physical, can see and be seen by survivors and more importantly can kill survivors.

 

From the videos it seems quite a dark (in terms of lighting) game, with survivors carrying flashlights. Quite atmospheric, and could be quite a laugh if played with friends.

The premise (according to the creators) is to explore survivors not being in control. They cannot affect, attack, kill or hurt the monster in any way, merely run or hide.

a bit, although damned has no ammo/weapons at all. it's survival/escape all the way.

i've just seen a vid of the monsters view. it looks quite good. one view you can see things like flashlights sweep past you, switch to physical view and you see the person with the flashlight...who then runs!

i think because there's no fighting element it will mean less "lets all gang up, kill it and win the round".....
