Schiele Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 I turned on my aspire 7551 laptop and it was doing a windows update. Since it finished I cannot login to windows. The only keys that seem to work are the vowel keys. Tried safe mode and arrow keys not working either. Any ideas please.
r0cketbev Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Have you tried a USB keyboard? It may let you log on then.
Schiele Posted October 13, 2013 Author Posted October 13, 2013 Thanks for reply. Keypad on comp only responds via keys, aeiou. Return, backspace etc not responding.

mac_shinobi Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Is there a key combination to enable or disable the number pad on the laptops keyboard ie FN + an F key ie F1 through to F12 Just wondering if its got the number pad enabled?
Garacesh Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 I'm making the assumption that your mouse is still working, if it does, try using the on-screen keyboard (Accessibility options, bottom left) to login. Once in, check the keyboard layout/language to check you're not in foreign-land?
