Rawns Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Another area where Steam outshines Origin is that you can enter valid, old CD keyas to add the games to your Steam library. I've tried doing the same to my copy of BF2 & 2142 in Origin but with no luck. Anyone know if it is possible to add old DVD copys of games into Origin?
X-13 Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 You can add some, but EA haven't published a list saying which ones do/don't work. It appears to be trial and error, I'm afraid.

Install BF2 and play it which should allow you to hit a page to enter your serial which linked my bf2 to origin.
Fleetwood Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 I was trying this last night Rawns but eventually gave up, if you've got a solution please let me know was playing BF2 last night for a good while, a truly excellent game - and the multiplayer base is still huge!
Chris_Jones Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 BF2 is on steam, have you tried adding the key there?
Rawns Posted October 14, 2013 Author Posted October 14, 2013 No luck. Had a onlie chat with EA's support and got nowhere. Tried Steam but says my key is invalid.
