Problem with server 2003 maping

Ok I know this should be simple but I haven’t had to deal with it before. I have a server I just set up with win2003 R2. I set up the program that it is to run. And now that it is all up and going I can not get it to connect the share to all the computers.

 

It should connect with a login .bat file but will only do so for the first dozen computers ore so then I try to manually map the drive and I can get another 3 or 4 to connect. Then it gives me an error that the maximum number of connections has been reached. I assume this has something to do with the license that it has. Though it should be the same as the rest of the servers we have under a volume license that is working fine.

 

Any ideas

Did you use Per Device/Per User or Per Connection as a setting?

 

I think that's something that what that does - though I've never used Per Connection before...

 

My understanding is PC is you can nly have x number of connections - as specified there (maybe altered elsewhere...)

 

and PD/PU is if you have 1000 CAL's... 1000 people can connect...

What about the permissions on the shared has a number been specified, try setting the security on the shared folder to everyone full, see what happens.
