tosca925 Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 Do any of you know how to automate a back up. The guy who cma in and installed our CMIS server said the back up had to be done manually, i 'm sure there must be a way round this. I beleive you have to so 2 seperate back ups one after the other. Any help ?
StewartKnight Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 it's true, you do have to do two backups, however you could just back up the whole database! Thats what I prefered to do when I used CMIS
stitch Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 Hi We use VERITAS Backup Exec 9.0 for Windows along with the SQL Agent, and this allows us to automactically backup the entire SQL CMIS database and the CMIS application files onto tape, this runs everynight Monday to Friday. This software also allows us to schedule a lunchtime backup which is placed on the harddrive of the server in case of any minor problems that can occur during the afternoon.
