People don't seem to realise that a stray reflection as you sweep a laser across a room can cause serious damage to unprotected eyes. Putting a 1.4w laser into a torch like device and selling it a s a "cool toy" is really dumb.
localzuk Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 They are indeed dangerous, which is why the police have a zero tolerance attitude to them now. Seen with them on the street, they're likely to end up confiscated. Shine them at a plane? You're likely to end up in prison. Yes, lasers are cool but for 99.999% of people they have zero use, unless its a low powered one which you're using to play with your cat.
