mrforgetful Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 I have a user that for some reason has just developed a problem when trying to delete email from their Sent Items folder. As far as I am aware nothing has changed anywhere, I checked and they still have Full Access to their Mailbox. Oh it's Exchange Server 2003, XP clients. What else could it be?
zag Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 I have had this before, I think it sometimes is caused by a corrupt mailbox. Think I solved it by moving all emails to a pst with exmerge(or just do it manually in outlook client). Then re-creating the mailbox.
mrforgetful Posted September 13, 2007 Author Posted September 13, 2007 Never used Exmerge, is it easy to use? There a guide anywhere?
mrforgetful Posted September 13, 2007 Author Posted September 13, 2007 Figured it out it is easy isn't it. Thanks for pointing me there. I've not heard back as to if the problem's fixed but I'm sure exmerge will come in handy again sometime.
kmount Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 This thread died 18 months ago, so I'd guess the OP solved their problem. Nonetheless, seems like nice software but I've never had to use anything beyond scanpst.
rh91uk Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Yeah ExMerge is a brilliant piece of software if you know how to use it properly.
EduTech Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Yes i have used Exmerg before, really useful! Using ExMerge to recover a Single Mailbox or Mailbox Item Just incase someone wants a tutorial.
kmount Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 My post was in response to a spambot offering different software. Said post has since been removed.
