lucieh Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 (edited) I am struggling with Profiles!!!!!!!!!!! Can anybody help??? I've been asked to set 'something' up for the UCAS references. Unfortunately aspect accepts 1000 characters only. I don't have much of experience with Profiles. Anyway, I've set up a sessing manager within profiles and teachers can enter their comments. However, HoD's can't access all the classes for their department to check and edit the comments. Is there any way head of department or head of year can review teachers comments and edit them? Please can anybody share your experience? Thank you Edited October 3, 2013 by lucieh
Domino Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 If could shed some light on what you're trying to achieve and the issues you're experiencing someone may be able to assist?
vikpaw Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 It is possible, but i wouldn't know how. Have you checked the manual, you can click documentation from the homepage of SIMS. I don't like Profiles, so we just use Assessment Manager, but that definitely doesn't have any fancy review / proofing features for HoDs.
lucieh Posted October 3, 2013 Author Posted October 3, 2013 thank you for your response - I have manual and will go through it again. I don't like profiles myself and prefer AM. I wish aspects could accept more than 1000 characters!!
vikpaw Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 For that case, we create multiple aspects e.g. maths comment 1, maths comment 2 etc. then line them up under eachother in a report. it also makes it look like paragraphing with the space between, so you can actually be specific with the aspect names, like maths course, maths aims, maths targets, maths results ...
